Entirely made from Sangiovese grapes. The wine, unfiltered, ages in barriques for 24 months and in bottle for another 12 months. The wine shows a beautiful deep, bright ruby red colour with garnet hints and excellent texture. The aroma is really intense and complex, with notes of ripe dark fruit, cherries in alcohol, aromatic herbs, sweet spices, dried flowers, light balsamic aroma, cinchona. In the mouth you can appreciate the structure and fullness, but also the elegance and balance. Good smoothness, well-placed tasty tannins, moderate acidity. A long finish that melts into fruity, mineral and spicy notes.
Food pairing: classic Chianina steak, lamb with herbs, pigeon with black truffle.
